A Happy Little Tomato, August 26, 2009
Submitted by GardenGirl88 from Twin Valley, MN
"Very nice tasting small tomato, wonderfully bite-sized. Really have to be staked well as they tend to get a little out of control.

They are very susceptible to splitting following heavier rains, but doesn't affect flavor- only looks. Perfect for snacking on the road or if you need some color on your salad.

Lots and lots of tomatoes to eat and share from just one plant. No problems with disease in my garden."

My first garden success!, October 23, 2008
Submitted by Birdie from Central Texas
"I am a brand new gardener, and these tomatoes helped me define my first gardening experiment as a success.

Although I only got a tiny crop in the early summer, and I thought the plants were done during the worst heat of the Texas summer, they have more than made up for a slow start with a huge second crop this fall! I have three plants and probably hundreds of tomatoes on the way! I haven't watered them since July, but they are doing amazing with zero maintenance in the Texas drought.

Now in the picture, they are shown all ripening at the same time, but I found them to be less dramatic on my plants. Also, mine are smaller and not quite as dark red, but crisp and sweet just the same. I will probably experiment with other varieties next year, but only because I am so new to gardening and need to learn more. These are welcome back in my garden in the future."

Prolific, tasty, but not "red", August 23, 2008
Submitted by Marmoxmag from Scarborough, ME
"These cherries do indeed grow in clusters just like in that photo (and mine, see below- please ignore weeds) but mine have not ever turned bright red. Any more 'red' than shown in this photo, and they split. Lucky my dog loves tomatoes because she gets the splits. These really are very tasty and sweet- just perfect off the plant. Let them ripen on a windowsill and they get a little more red. Just for sheer volume and taste, they get 4 stars."

Disappointing, August 11, 2008
Submitted by Janie from Cincinnati, OH
"I am very disappointed in these cherry tomatoes. We picked them when they were red and they had a bitter taste. We have put them in a paper bag and let them ripen some more, which has improved the taste, but they are not sweet. Next year I'll go back to Gardener's Delight - now that's a good cherry tomato!"

Most productive cherry variety, August 9, 2008
Submitted by JessamineW from Kentucky
"We planted a number of different varieties and the Sweet 100 was by far the most productive. I've been picking them literally every day and it just keeps producing. The fruit is just as the name says, super sweet."

Classic taste, great production, March 21, 2008
Submitted by LakeErieGarden from Lorain, OH
"This is a great cherry tomato. It is what it says...super sweet and lots of them. I think I do prefer this to the sweet million cherry for taste. Easy to grow to. I'd give it a five overall but there are a few other cherry tomatoes I like a little better for flavor, namely Sun Gold."

Keeps Producing Endlessly, March 3, 2008

"I bought the seeds from a local gardening store last year. The plants sprouted right up and kept producting to the point I couldn't handle any more! The sheer numbers of the cherry tomatoes helped tremendously to get around a few cracked ir diseased ones."

Hundreds of Tomatoes!, August 17, 2007
Submitted by wilbar from Clayton
"These seeds germinated and transplanted well. After planting, the vine grew very quickly. At the height of their production there were easily two hundred little tomatoes on long clusters. They are now well over 7' tall and still producing at a much slower rate though.
This plant definitely has to be well tied or trellised as it can easily grow out of control and spread.
The performance of this plant is unrivaled out of the eight varieties I have this year.
In addition to performance,I had not one problem with pests or disease.
The flavor of the tomatoes is absolutely incredible,so sweet it almost tastes like a grape or cherry.
When I give them away, everyone returns with a compliment and just about begs for more.
My only dissapointment was that in order to acheive suitable ripeness,Ihad to leave the tomatoes on the vine until they cracked. The period between the time they cracked and the time they spoiled was very short so I had to pick every day to avoid over ripening.
This is a much better result than I expected, and will definitely plant more than one next year just to give some away."

great plants great tomatoes, July 8, 2007
Submitted by greenthumbgrammy
"Plants are very productive and load up with clusters and clusters of cherrys. I am growing in full sun and am harvesting clusters every 4 to five days and its July 7th! Definately needs staking as these plants get BIG. The taste is nice and sweet. People keep asking , more more more. I cant harvest quick enough! I planted 6 of these along with 12 napa grape hybrids and 6 beefsteak hybrids. The grape and cherry plants are like monsters compared to the beefsteaks which are more compact plants. I highly recomend these to anyone growing as they are easy to grow and produce very well."

"I grew these last year in my very first garden. We LOVED the taste, and oh my heavens but they were productive. We got tomatoes until after a hard freeze. And these were growing IN POTS. I've put 3 of them in pots again this year, and I'm worried about being overwhelmed by delicious fruits. (The folks in my office will eat what I can't!) These are wonderful plants, but I did have to check them daily during our very hot summer weather to grab them before they cracked. And even if they did crack they were still delicious..."

"Well, I really liked the size and beauty of these tomatoes. They really produced strongly all the way to autumn! However, compared to Tomand heirlooms they just didn't have that much taste. I really thought they weren't that sweet. I am going to try Sugar Snack this year because you cannot beat cherry tomatoes for convenience.

I'm going to go with Tomand again for my main tomato!"

"All in all this is a wonderful tomato. The vines are vigorous and productive, and the fruit is extremely sweet. The reason I gave it a 3 in plant performance is because of the cracking. I lost all my later fruits to cracking which made them unusable. That aside, in early and mid season it was great. I have grown it for several years. However, I am still looking for a crack resistant variety with equal taste."

"Lots of sweet, delicious fruits from early summer to frost. Needs lots of room and big cages as the plants grow to about 10-12 feet in length from root to the tips of the furthermost vines. Can tolerate excessive heat and will set blooms in hot weather. Somewhat susceptible to cracking."

This variety is the first to ripen, in my garden, and it keeps on going staight into fall. I'm so pleased with the performance of this tomato. It will always be a part of my vegetable garden."
