Tomato Brandy Boy Hybrid - 1 packet (30 seeds)

"Only Burpee could improve a classic. Many gardeners consider Brandywine heirloom tomato to be the best tasting of all tomatoes. But as all tomato connoisseurs know, Brandywine has its drawbacks. The tomatoes are often misshapen with uneven shoulder ripening. The plants grow wildly, set fruit late in the summer and yield a sparse crop at best. But not Brandy Boy! Our new hybrid Brandywine produces loads of large pink fruits, up to 5½ inches across, that ripen evenly, with soft heirloom texture, thin skin and that same incredible Brandywine flavor. Better yet the plants sport an upright more manageable growth habit. Brandy Boy is an indeterminate variety, ready to pick 75-78 days after setting out plants. If you love tomatoes like we do, and especially the rich, tangy-sweet taste of Brandywine, don't miss Brandy Boy!

"Overall an excellent tomato, but remember to give it lots of planting room. It has been producing very large juicy tomatoes that are excellent on sandwiches and salads as well as great juiced for tomato juice - good flavor. These plants grow very large. I used 7 foot stacks (2 foot in the ground) and the tomatos have outgrown them by the beginning of August! You definitely need 3 to 4 foot spacing in between these plants for best yield."

"Excellent tomato. It has the Brandywine flavor and appearance(not always that great) but is much more productive. I have 12-15 tomatoes on each of two plants. I picked two on
August 2 that weighted a pound each. Keep up the good work."

"Got six plants last year and had them bear about 40 tomatoes in August and then a slower, steadier hearvest until late October. Would have had more tomatoes if I had spaced them farther apart. These plants are huge! Awesome tasting tomato too. Made some terrific sandwiches and sauce."
