Monarda 'Petite Delight' - 1 Plant

"Monarda didyma 'Petite Delight'
The first-ever dwarf bee-balm won't flop in even the heaviest rains and wind. It adapts to any moist well drained soil and increases quickly. The flowers are an eye-catching rosy pink, just watch the hummingbirds flock to this beauty! Mildew free, too. Remove spent blooms to prolong flowering. Height 12-15"". Spacing 18"". Grows best in partial to full sun. Blooms July-Aug. Perennial in Zones 4-9.

Great First year bloomer, January 23, 2008
Submitted by ChicagoNative from Louisville
"I planted 3 of these dwarf monarda in my south facing, brutally hot and dry front bed. They performed beautifully from the tiny transplants I got.

Initially I was concerned about their size, but after a bit of babying they grew very well and bloomed multiple times over the summer.

We have had a warm winter, relatively speaking, here in Louisville and some of the monarda still has it's leaves.

I think this little plant it a great value.

"Amazingly sturdy and evenly mounded plants. Flowers are vibrant... blanketing the plant and holding for a long period. Thrives in Zone 5 clay even when neglected."
