"Garden-fresh sweet corn is summer's greatest pleasure. Plant corn in blocks at least 4 rows wide for cross-pollination and well-filled ears. A packet contains 200 enough for four 15' rows. Seeds are not treated.
92 days until harvest. This is the popular late-season variety with tenderness and flavor worth waiting for. Large ears, 9"" long, have 14-16 rows of white kernels. Height 8'. Proven tops for productivity, flavor and wide adaptability. Grow in full sun. What do SU, SH2, SE mean? (Click here to find out)"

Vigorous and Prolific,
May 2, 2009 Submitted byCornGrower from SE Indiana
"I have been planting Silver Queen since it was introduced several years ago. One year I planted it and equal amounts of 4 other varieties. It was a hot stressful summer, but the Silver Queen still produced large, full ears. Silver Queen produced more than the other 4 varieties combined."

"This is fantastic tasting corn, easy to grow and had no problems as far as bugs or diseases. Picture is about two thirds of the corn harvested from 4 10 foot rows."

Family Favorite,
August 27, 2008 Submitted byYardner from Southern Ohio
"Easy to grow. Tall plants discourage racoons. Flavor is out of this world. Often more then one ear per plant. I have had some smut but this is minor and not worth the worry."

Sweet, prolific,

"Seeds germinated quickly and stalks grew to over seven feet tall with two cobs per stalk. Excellent sweetness without starchiness. Did much better than the silver choice planted nearby."

Still enjoyed our freezer full in January,
January 22, 2008 Submitted byGardeningLawyer from Washington, GA
"We had our first large vegetable garden last year, and the Silver Queen corn was impressive in growth, looks and taste. We creamed and froze what we couldn't eat right away, and we're still enjoyed our results in January! You can't go wrong with this tried and true hybrid. By the way, we also planted Silver Choice, which never grew above two feet and never produced ears. Go with Silver Queen instead!"
