Sweet Pepper Early Crisp Hybrid - 1 Pkt. (30 seeds)

"It has the thick walls and sweet, full flavor ordinarily found only in midseason types. The first green fruits are ready in two months. Three weeks later, they turn deep red. Ready to harvest about 60 days after setting out into the garden. Burpee exclusive.

Grow in full sun in average, well-drained soil. Plants can be spaced 18-24"" apart.

Sorry, plants CANNOT be sent to AK, AZ, CA, HI or NV."

Excellent!!!, October 22, 2009
Submitted by 50andhappy from West Chester, OH
"I had lots to share!!! I did learn not to plant so close to banana peppers because I had peppers that looked like banana pepper but tasted like a bell pepper. I'm glad I didn't plant hot peppers!!!
These were very tasty and will purchase again next year."

Just ok, October 20, 2008
Submitted by Koshki from Southeastern Michigan
"If by early, you mean September...well ok. The fruit was tasty, but we didn't get that much, and they took forever to turn red. The Costa Ricans were much tastier. We've still got greens ones on the plants, and it's October."

love it, August 28, 2008
Submitted by Shelene from Cheyenne, WY
"My seeds came up strong and made healthy plants that are producing nicely. We ate our first pepper a week ago and it was crisp and perfect. The plants are loaded with peppers and are doing wonderfully even though I am not as attentive to them as I should be."

easy as it gets, December 2, 2007

"Even with neglect these peppers did excellent. Grown in a pot or in the garden they withstood just about anything. I grew the same peppers the year before without neglect and they performed beautifully. The taste is just what you would expect from a sweet pepper"

"I have been growing this variety for 3 years and have found the taste and size to be very similar to the California Wonder variety, yet in our southern Indiana location, it yeilds so much earlier than the California Wonder. These peppers are ready to harvest with the early varieties of tomatoes. With the California Wonder variety, it was very late in the year before we could get much of a harvest at all. This was experienced with buying plants or starting them from seed ourselves."

"I planted this pepper last year. It grew well but I was disappointed in the taste and texture. Also, did not produce as well as I would have expected."
