Snap Pea Super Sugar Snap V.P. - 1 Pkt. (200 seeds)

"64 days. The most versatile peas·wonderful raw, steamed or stir-fried. Yields are higher because you eat them pod and all. Thick, full sized snap peas are sweetest. This incredible pea is even better than the famous Sugar Snap. It's sweeter, earlier, more productive, and has excellent disease resistance. Try it in salads or appetizers. Super Sugar Snap is the best snap pea ever. Like the original, these plants get 5-6' tall and need a trellis or fence. Direct-sow in early spring, again in midsummer for a fall crop. Outstanding winter crop in Zones 9-11. 200-225 seeds per packet, sows about 30' of row; one lb., 240'. Our seeds are not treated. Sun."

Taught the kids to eat vegetables!, February 25, 2010
Submitted by Peapicker from San Francisco Bay Area
"These Super Sugar snap peas are the best we've planted. If you have a picky eater in the family, give these a try. Good/bad news: My grandson will eat only the vegetables he has helped to grow. Now he has a little sister and she is following in his footsteps. Delightful results all around."

"My kids will eat these right off the vine. Easy to grow as long as we get them in early enough (I'm in Houston). Pretty productive, too."

The Only One, December 2, 2008

"I'm not sure why anyone would grow any other pea except the Super Sugar Snap. Everyone loves these right off the plants. Most of them never make it to the kitchen. Great producer even in the hot and dry mountain west."

Finally! Found the one., November 21, 2007
Submitted by LakeErieGarden from Lorain, OH
"I have been experimenting with different peas for a few years now and this is the one that gets the real estate in my garden from now on. This is much better than the Super Snappy which I did not like even as much as the Sugar Snap. They engineered this one right on the money."

easy easy easy., July 2, 2007

"I've grown these with other peas two years now and these are just idiot proof. I'm pretty sure as long as you remember to water and provide them a decent fence these will grow in just about any soil will result in some pods. One packet of these resulted in a 15 foot row. Great yield which still isn't complete as I write this and has great flavor."

"i have what has before been called a 'black thumb' (in other words, i could kill anything in a week or less) and i actually got these to grow! :) my daughter was thrilled and i had no problem getting her to eat these veggies! we didnt have a great yeild but being so new to gardening we planted a bit late so that was probably why since we live in texas and it gets hotter here sooner than most places"
