"Finally! A super-sweet pea, with all the advantages of the super-sweet corns. More fresh flavor, more staying power on the vine, longer life in the fridge. Once upon a time, peas had to be cooked within hours of picking. No more! ‘Garden Sweet’ will keep in top form in the fridge for two days, and with 25% more sugar than other garden peas. Vines grow 3-4' tall and produce large crops of 3-4"" pods containing 9-10 incredibly delicious peas. Ready to harvest in 75 days. Grows best in full sun. Burpee Exclusive."

"I planted three rows ten days apart - almost no peas. Fewrer than 10% of the seeds sprouted. It did not matter when I planted the seed. Very disappointing."

Great!,

"I LOVE these peas! I planted them and Mr. Big last year. The Mr Big were respectable, but Oh-My-God were the "Garden Pea Garden Sweet" Peas outrageously good. Most peas did not make it in the house because I ate them as I picked them. They were so sweet, that I could not help myself. If you want your loved ones to lots eat green vegetables, the will be unable to not eat the peas after their first sample. These peas make you happy that you have a home garden! They are a wonderful way to start the gardening season."

Poor result,

"I usually have no trouble in the garden with peas and beans. These vines grew about 18" on my trellis and produced just a few pods with nice sweet peas. My other legumes did well. No obvious diseases. Just wripped them out and will try again."

Excellent taste,

"This one lived up to its billing. It is a super sweet pea and does retain its taste in hot weather. Most of the time they don't make it to the pan for cooking because my wife and I eat them raw before they get there. You read that right they taste so good and are so sweet we eat them raw."

"We planted peas for the first time last spring and this variety were definately a huge success. I would say that 90% of the pods had 8 peas in them, and the other 10% had 6 or 7. We live in zone 5B and planted them not much after St. Pat.'s Day. We did have to cover them with a cold frame because we got about 25" of snow after they sprouted but they still turned out great. I am planting twice as many this year because we will be eating the last of them from the freezer stash this week :("
