"65 days. Still one of the finest of the Nantes-type carrots, the best for eating out of hand sweet and tender, free from hard fiber. This old French variety is quick-maturing, about 6"" long and 1"" across."

"My 11-year-old son and I planted these carrots together this past spring and harvested them today (about 4 months later). They are very easy to grow. Although we had a few very tiny carrots (which we fed to our rabbits), some of the larger ones were close to the size of store-bought carrots. The flavor is very sweet, not the "dirt" taste I remember from garden-grown carrots when I was a kid. We will definitely grow these again!"

"These were the sweetest, easiest-to-grow carrots ever. Previous carrots tasted earthy in my soil. These were great!"

Tender at any size,

"I planted these and carrot "Short and Sweet" in my garden in summer 2007. I didn't have high expectations for the Touchon because of my heavy clay soil, but I needn't have worried because still had great yield. I was impressed that these were sweet and tasty at any size. Even when I let them grow very large, they didn't have the fiberous texture you often find. Some of these carrots grew to be enormous, which was fun to show visitors- should have entered them in the fair! I recommend these and something like "Short and Sweet" for two different flavors, sizes, and textures. I'll definitely plant them again."
