Impatiens Rose Parade Hybrid Series - Mixed Colors - 1 Pkt (30 seeds)

"A stunning mixture of rose-like buds and flowers covers these compact, well-branched impatiens from early summer till frost. The charming little roses in packets of separate colors or a mix are ideal for containers and in shady flower beds. The robust green foliage is a perfect complement to the delicate blooms. Height 12-16"". Burpee Exclusive. Grows best in partial to full shade. Space plants 10-12"" apart. Cannot ship plants to Hi or Ak.
Sorry, state laws prohibit shipping plants to Alaska, Hawaii.
Plants ship in spring at proper planting time. ( click here for shipping schedule ) "

Florida Surprise Plant, June 3, 2007
Submitted by MMR1939 from Central Florida
"In central florida, these plants gave me a big surprise. I used a liquid fertilizer and added Sea Magic to the mixture every 3 weeks.
They grew in partial shade and were so beautiful I decided to see if I could get another years growth out of them after they got straggly. In the spring, I cut the top of the plants off to within about 6" of the ground and to my GREAT SURPRISE they renewed themselves and put out as many blooms as they did the year before. Sea Magic is a good product from Burpee. You won't go wrong using it along with your regular liquid fertilizer for all your plants."

"These double impatiens are a good savings compared to prices local nurseries in our area charge for double impatiens. They looked very elegant in a solid blue ceramic pot and a blue and white Chinese style pot. I too would like to be able to purchase the colors separately.

I've been gardening for over 25 years."

"These really do look like little roses - they are very beautiful. This was only my second experience with impatiens and they did take quite a while to get going and look really full and beautiful, but maybe that is the way it is with all impatiens. Also, I was a little disappointed because they make you think based on the description and the picture that each plant has mixed colors, however each plant only makes one color (again, maybe my inexperience). But I got 2 red, 1 white, and all the rest pink, which looked a little funny in the flowerbed. I couldn't tell which was which when I planted them either. So just watch out for that. I think they should at least give you 4 of each color."

"I ordered twelve of these plants in the spring and they've taken over my flowerbed! The colors are vibrant and the foliage is lovely. I think I'd prefer to have just two colors, if given the choice. I'll order these again next year."
