Sunflower Chianti Hybrid - 1 Pkt. (25 seeds)

"Hybrid Sunflower. The deepest red sunflower! Wine- red velvet petals are flecked with gold. Flowers are 3-4"" across on 4-5' plants. Multiple branched and purple-stemmed, it's dramatic in the garden. Pollenless, so it's good for cutting, too. Burpee Exclusive. Sun, Attracts Butterflies."

"When I saw the pictures of this sunflower I thought, "Yeah, Right! Some one has been using Photoshop."
I planted them anyway, and I was shocked at the stunningly deep red color of these flowers. They are almost black. Even the veins of the leaves are deep red. I have got more comments on these flowers then anything else I grow. They are simply stunning and make a great cut flower.
I grow them with the Strawberry Blonde Sunflower. A great combination."

"This is one of the most beautiful sunflowers I've ever grown! When the bloom first opens, the petals are a velvety burgundy that is almost black. Definitely one of my yearly favorites!!"
