Tomato Juliet Hybrid (Cherry) - 1 Pkt. (30 seeds)

"New! 60 days. All-America Winner. Looks like a miniature Italian plum tomato but it's really a cherry -- juicy, sweet and packed with flavor. Big vines produce grape-like clusters of petite sweeties. Best of all, it's the most crack resistant cherry tomato ever.

A favorite for years!, March 8, 2010
Submitted by upnorthgal from northern Michigan
"I have grown tomato Juliet for 6 years, and it is my family's favorite. It's great whole for snacking, cut in half for salads, or skewered for grilling. I have canned tomato Juliet with great results. I grow in big pots with cages on a deck, and in northern Michigan this tomato has never failed me. Tomato Juliet is not shown in the 2010 catalag, but is listed on the 'vegetable & herb bargains' page insert. I hope you do not discontinue tomato Juliet!"

Best Cherry Tomatoes Ever!, January 17, 2010
Submitted by Trouble345 from Apex, NC
"I bought this tomato as a plant at a farmers market because I wanted a cherry tomato and was out of other options. What a find! This plant produced TONS of tomatos for the entire summer. Being in North Carolina, I planted at the end of April and these things still had tomatos in December. The tomatoes are very meaty and sweet. They held up even when I had a caterpillar problem. I will ABSOLUTELY be buying this plant again."

"The tomato juliet hybrid does not appear in your 2010 catalog. At least I couldn't find it. However, it is still being offered on line.

I was so terribly disappointed when I thought you discontinued this product, because I can't find it in the catalog.

This is an excellent type of cherry tomato and I've been ordering it for at least 2-3 years. It grows the best in the garden. Crack resistant opposed to a regular cherry tomato. It's flavor is superb.

Even my local summer fruit market picked up on this precious tasting tomato. I would highly recommend it."

The Best, July 25, 2009
Submitted by Bishop1 from Tallahassee, FL
"I have planted the Juliet for year with great success. I prefer it over the Sun Gold in flavor. It only cracks after a prolonged dry spell followed by heavy rain, which most varieties will do. If I could only have one tomato in my garden from now on it would be the Juliet because of the flavor and texture."

Fantastic for snacking, January 6, 2009
Submitted by Kalynn from TN
"Juliet tomatoes are a regular in my garden. The seeds are quick to germinate and are not fussy at all. The plants are very vigorous and productive. My husband loves to go out every day in the summer and pick a large bowl full of these and just snack on them all day long. The flavor is very good and the fruits are fairly crack-resistant. I highly recommend using a cage rather than a stake - the plants will branch out a great deal and need to be contained and supported."

Lovely, December 31, 2008
Submitted by MorkRider from Central Valley, CA
"I grew these and was impressed with their productivity. They were super crack resistant and tasty...though the skins were quite firm to the bite. They grew in big clusters and it was hopeless keeping up with the harvest--they just kept coming. The plants absolutely filled the tomato cages to overflowing. The ONLY reason I am not going to plant them again is because I much prefer Sun Gold for flavor. To avoid overwhelming myself with garden work, I usually plant a max of 2-3 tomato varieties each summer."

"I've grown the Juliet for the last three years and have had great success. I'm skipping them this year for Sungold and Sunsugar. The juliet plants grow well and you'll get more miniature roma-looking tomatoes than you can eat. The fruit has a tendancy to crack and the flavor is just average."

Prolific and good, May 2, 2008
Submitted by Ruby711 from Sandston, VA
"Grown for the first time last year - pack of 4 seedlings from a local store. Planted in loosened compost and top soil mixed with a hit of Miracle Grow, caged in standard tomato cages & watered via drip irrigation every other day or when I remembered. They were fantastic! Sweet and more like baby romas than cherries - being on the dry-side is a plus to me. We picked an average of 40 a day every day throughout the summer until late-September. These are the only cherry/grape tomatoes that I'll have in the garden."

"I didn't find these to be anything special. They looked nice and I won grand champion in the county 4-H fair with them. However, they were very mealy and not particularly tasty. Great looks, average yields, but below average flavor."

"I have been growing Juliets for the last eight years. They have been my best yielding and tasting tomato. The plants are thick with foliage and fruit and continue producing until killed by frost in late October. They taste fantastic! I support plants in 5' cages...plants grow out the top and back down to the ground! I use Juliets in salads and can them for cooking use all year. Best method for skinning is to freeze overnight, place in luke warm water, and squeeze...the skins come right off. Grown in Warrenton, VA."

"I bought a pack of six from a local grocery store when they were 4? tall. Now they are over four feet tall in heavy cages and still want to grow. I have been picking them at 3/4" to 1" round diameter. None of mine have made oblong shape. The taste and flavor is fantastic. Out of six plants, I have picked so much and still are full of tomatoes. Highly recommended. Unfortunately I didn?t collect any data as to the yield, size, etc but who cares.
grown in washington dc area."

"The only reason this tomato did not get 5 leaves across the board is due to the fact that I grew it in my garden in the Mojave. The 8+ weeks of 100 degree heat took its toll on the plant but the early season and late season production of this plant was awesome. It needs serious support as the plant I grew went over 12 feet from where I put it in the ground. The best tasting cherry I have ever grown."
