Seedlings Growing Strong,
June 13, 2009 Submitted byWadester from Seabrook, TX
"Hoping for 2-3 baby Serrano plants to add to my garden, I started 18 cells in my new Burpee Seed Home Growing kit. After one week, I now have 11 out of 18 cells with healthy, baby Serrano plants growing strong, for a 61% germination rate. This is more than acceptable; plus I only used 18 out of 100 seeds in my little Serrano seed packet. With 11 Serrano plants growing strong, I will have to find more room for planting, in my little garden!"

One Plant, About 50 Peppers!,
January 23, 2009 Submitted byGardenGirl88 from Twin Valley, MN
"I couldn't believe how many peppers were on my one lone plant. I pickled more than 4 pints of whole peppers, 6 quarter pints of pickled slices, and used many more in the 2 batches of picante sauce I made. Who knew one plant could do so much!
I am planting 2 plants this year because my father-in-law can sit down and eat a pint of pickled peppers in one sitting, and these are a favorite.
You can't go wrong with these. They are well worth the work and effort!"

"Thick, crunchy, and juicy hide makes it work well in salsa. It is pretty hot."
