Tomato Yellow Magic Stuffing - Packet (30 seeds)

"Burpee Exclusive.
Wonderful yellow tomatoes that will inspire plentiful oohs and aahs. At first glance, you'd swear it is a yellow bell pepper, with a perfect pepper shape and feel. But it's very much a tomato, making a tasty conversation piece when stuffed with your favorite salad. Suitable for either appetizers or entrees, 'Yellow Magic's' walls are uniquely firm, thin and tasty, so preparing them is a pleasure.
The mature fruit grows to 4"" wide. A delicious and welcome addition for both gardeners and magicians.

Stuffed and Baked Surprise!
Reviewed On:December 27, 2009
"These were good for stuffing as suggested.
Rather prolific once they got started, some
12-20 per plant. They looked JUST like peppers.
Hollow center like a pepper, I stuffed with Rice,
Sausage and spices and tasted great. When baked
with stuffed peppers, made a novelty pot luck surprise. Continued growing till first frost. Downside was thin walls, so in hand they had little taste. Also blossom end rot took the early ones, no usable fruit till mid August.

"Very inconsistent fruit size (1-1/2 to 4 inches in diameter). Plants are indeterminate. (Mine are 5-feet tall in early August. That wasn't mentioned in the catalog or on line.). Extremely prone to blossom-end rot (80% loss due to this condition. We have 5 other varieties in this garden plot and none of the others have this problem). About 3 weeks later in ripening than advertised. Won't plant Yellow Magic again."
