"How sweet it is. 'Supersweet' lives up to its name. It's so sweet you can eat it raw. The jumbo yellow-skin globes have sweet, piquant white flesh. Produces plentifully. Can be grown to softball size! 75 onion plants per bunch.
Plants ship in spring at proper planting time for your area."

"I grew this particular onion 2 years ago! These onions grew so fast and I had 90% that were softball size, yet they were so Sweet and Tender. I don't think I had an onion left 1 month after harvest. This year I planted a double batch so hopefully I have onions during the winter."

Only wish I planted more!,
September 4, 2008 Submitted byFriesianPairDriver from Inland Coastal NJ
"I figured I'd give these a shot, since I'm very partial to sweet onions, but being in Zone 7, almost coastal NJ, I knew that having a short-day variety was pushing the limit. Well - I only wish I had planted more of them!! They are SO sweet. The bulbs varied in size from small to medium - I didn't get really big bulbs, but the taste makes up for it. They were finished fairly quickly, and I dried most of them for storage, hung them in a mesh net, and keep them in my dark, air conditioned tack room - so far no problems in storage."
