Beautiful Little Tomato,
August 17, 2009 Submitted byKimba from Sandown, NH
"These are BEAUTIFUL little tomatoes. The color and shape are so appealing. You want to eat them just because they are so darn pretty. I agree with the other reviewers. The color is actually pale yellow, not white. The flavor is very mild. I have about a dozen tomato varieties in my garden. The Italian Ice were the last to mature, which was actually nice, because it gave me something to look forward to. These plants actually stayed healthier than the other plants in my garden, which fell victim to a disease this year, possibly blight."

Sweet,
August 10, 2009 Submitted byLovetogarden from Limerick
"These have to be one of the sweetest, non acidic tomatoes I have ever eaten. I usually get a bit of an acid stomach from eating too many tomatoes but these don't give me any pain. Seeds were very easy to start, plants grow great and transplanted great. Started plants early but late transplant into garden, however, they took off and set flowers right away. Tomatoes came in with other varieties but took about two weeks longer to ripen. They do start dark green, lighten then turn more white. I'm not sure if minerals in certain water would make them turn but you can see by the pic's they are a very creamy white. My entire block is enjoying these sweet treats - also great in salsa or in any topping you want a 'wow' affect. Will plant more next year for sure."

Great Tomato,
July 15, 2009 Submitted byGardenGirlinUT from Salt Lake City, UT
"The tomatoes are wonderful, and are some of my first of the season. As with other reviewers, I found that they ripened from green to white and then to yellow. They are great, almost creamy when eaten while they are white. They are burstingly sweet if you let them go until they turn yellow. The plants are huge and are now nearly a foot taller than their cages. They are producing like crazy, I've never had tomatoes this productive before."

YELLOW Italian ICE,
July 10, 2009 Submitted bycandyaj from Swansea, SC
"DON"T LET THE BEAUTIFUL PICTURE IN THE CATALOGUE FOOL YOU! THese tomatoes are not a beautiful creamy white. When they ripen they are yellow! The germination rate is fair but found the plant to be susceptible to wilt, so out of the 18 plants i originally panted I have 9, two of which i purchased at a nursery.
Even though these tomatoes are not what I expected, they flavor is wonderful and they are really pretty, even thought they are yellow. They look very nice in a tomato salad, adding a splash of color.
I would definatley try them again!"

Back for More!,
April 3, 2009 Submitted byAnonymous from West side of the Cascades, WA
"I've grown tomatoes for almost 30 years, but recently moved from KS to the Northwest. Tomatoes are a challenge here due to a short, cool growing season. Last year I planted Italian Ice, Sungold and Beefsteak in a small, 3-sided greenhouse (open to the South), with red plastic on the ground. Italian Ice and Sungold produced outstanding crops. Beefsteak produced a truckload of fruit that never ripened. Although the Italian Ice fruit was not as 'white' as I'd hoped, once they turned pale yellow, the flavor was crisp and refreshing. Excellent for straight-off-the-vine snacking. Definitely going back in the garden this year!"

Very tasty cherry tomato,
February 27, 2009 Submitted byKrispe from Dahlgren, VA
"we grew this variety last year for the first time. This tomato produced great right up to frost with abundance of tomatoes through out the entire season. Although ours ripened to a yellow color not close to ivory. These are a very sweet tomato with robust flavor. Even our 3 year old daughter liked them and previously we had not been able to get her to try a tomato."

Very Prolific,
December 11, 2008 Submitted byYonatan from Jersey Shore
"The vines kept on growing and growing and growing. Really a great producer. Friends loved the tomatoes. I was still getting fruit into mid-November here by the Jersey Shore until the first hard frost.
Two complaints: First they were really a light yellow and not white. Secondly, pick them before they overripen or the tomato will split open.
Bottom line: I still have bunches of them in my refrigerator and this is all from two plants!"

Too much of an average thing,
December 5, 2008 Submitted byToughGeek from Long Island
"The outstanding quality was the production. By volumn the heaviest production of a tomato in my experience. In my parents yard, a good crop even with limited sun (<4 hours direct sun). I would say the flavour was rather bland when picked in the white stage, BUT, it you wait for some yellow blush it does become sweeter. So if yo have limited sun, and like mild flavour, this one is for you."

Didn't come out white!,
August 29, 2008 Submitted byTheDoctor from Miamisburg, OH
"Very Vigorous and prolific. Planted late in May, and they are ripening late in August in large amounts. Large size for a "Cherry Tomato", good flavor, and not acidic at all, but they are coming out light yellow, not white. They are almost as yellow as the "Golden Mama" planted next to them. I will buy this again, but separate them from the other yellow and orange tomatoes, if possible."

Trendy but not good,
August 23, 2008 Submitted byMarmoxmag from Scarborough, ME
"I, like many other reviewers, am disappointed with these. First, my 3 Italian ice tomato plants weathered our rainy Maine summer worse than the other 4 species I have planted- stems turned black, softened, like they were rotting from ground up. All other species were fine. Second, the plants recovered and produced many green fruit which have turned a lovely shade of... yellow. And that's when they fall off the plant. They are not white, nor are they sweet. They're like a big yellow cherry tomato on depressants. They also get covered with weird scars, which I don't mind. They taste OK, and were fruitful, so it's worth 2 "stars". Don't expect them to POP with flavor and be white. If you want amazing flavor, go with the Sungold."

Questionable,
August 20, 2008 Submitted byElginites from chicago
"We live in the Chicago area. The plants I received have pretty much taken over our little garden. I have a ton of green tomatoes, but none of them are turning white (or yellow). I'm afraid they won't ripen by the time the frost gets here. I wanted to enjoy them in my summer salads and summer is almost over. A bit disappointing."

Not White,
August 12, 2008 Submitted byBeth from Virginia

"They taste very sweet. Mine ripened to a yellow color, not ivory like the picture. This is my first time trying to grow tomatoes. So maybe I did something wrong to get that color. Mine are in a large pot located in full sun with some basil growing in the same pot. I counted about 25 tomatoes so far between the two plants I have. My plant is about 3.5 ft. tall."

Wonderful Tomato plants,
August 1, 2008 Submitted byMistressMary from Northern Minnesota
"I ordered one package of seed and I think that every seed turned into a plant. I had so many plants that I was giving them away. They have grown like weeds and now are reaching the 6 foot tall point. I have a hedge of tomato plants and there are hundreds of tomatos hiding in there. None have ripened yet but I they should start soon. I am very pleased with them so far."

Extremely disappointing!,
July 25, 2008 Submitted byJeaninGeorgia from Middle Georgia
"I ordered the plants and put them in the planters when they arrived. There has yet to be 1 single bloom on any of the 3 plants. No blooms, no fruit, no nothing. An absolute failure. I thought the product sounded interesting enough to try but I will not be ordering again."
