"This gadget is pretty good for small to medium seeds. With practice you can tip out one or two of them. I didn't need help with peas and corn. It's fair for those tiny seeds like lobelia ... lobelia makes table salt look like boulders. (I don't know if any device is perfect for sowing lobelia.) The seeder's two parts are a snug fit and twisting from one size hole to another is not smooth. It shouldn't be. You don't want the parts to move while you have it pointed down and full of seeds. Do not try to lubricate them or you will have seed sticking in the track where it's not easy to clean.
For under $2.00 this does a good job -- better than the folded sheet of paper or envelope method because you can see through it. And it's a good tool for those with stiff fingers or have pain when grasping small things."
"This is a useful tool, especially for those tiny little herb seeds. I like that it has multiple size openings, to allow for more percise distribution of the seeds.
The product is not perfect, because sometimes you have to jiggle it a little to get some of the persistent seeds out, but even at that, it is a lot easier than trying to pick seeds up one-by-one."
