An Absolute Delight,

"This species of cardinal flower--a plant that my dad introduced to me--is perhaps the favorite perennial in our garden. The plant arrived extremely healthy and had no problems adjusting to its new home; in a week or two it looked like a lifelong native. The tall stalks' many flowers are a rich, vibrant red, and the blooms linger for a good while, allowing you to enjoy them for a gratifyingly long time. There is a down side, of course: you may have to wait in line behind the hummingbirds that will become regular or perhaps more frequent visitors to your garden. This is a treasure that you will look forward to seeing each and every year."
