Delicious Tomatos
Reviewed On:February 9, 2010
"2009 is the first year I grew this variety. I had 8 plants and all were very good producers. All of the plants were taller that my 5' cages, they grew above the cages and back down to the soil. The holes in the cages are 4" square and many of the fruits would not come out through the holes. I weigh all my produce and many of these were above 3.5 pounds. Very uniform appearance, no blemishes, no cracks and no blossom rot. Some blight on the bottom of the vines. I use drip hoses and paper covering of the soil. I use raised boxes, 12" and 4' by 12'."

Huge tomato
Reviewed On:October 2, 2009
"These did live up to name. I had one mega-blossom and coaxed out a 3.2 LB. der
Taste was great, on the acidy side (not Sweet)
Very bright red, plants stayed produtive up
to cold spells. The true King for a BLT sandwich.
Used 6 ft stakes, too tall to cage these guys.
No splitting, held up to heavy rains.
Only downside was virus on bottom leaves,
lost some fruit to sunburn.

Nice, big, red tomato
Reviewed On:January 30, 2009
"Grew this last year and thought I was going to get all 2lb tomatoes. Well, I got a few but mostly about a pound. I didn't do the work required to raise the huge tomatoes this is capable of and you really don't to get nice large tomatoes. Pretty good flavor. For the size, decent production. Reminds me of a bit better tasting Whopper."

Wonderfull Tomato
Reviewed On:April 21, 2008
"I have grown Delicious Tomatoes for over 15 years. Although it is a later tomatoe, I always can't wait for the first tomato! They are very meaty with no odd shapes like Beefstake. They are large round fruits, with a wonderfull flavor, a bit sweeter than most and one slice fits a sandwich! Although I do plant other tomatoes for early and mid season, the Delicious is my favorite and main Tomatoe that I use for all my freezing and canning! When using for cooking and canning, I slip off skin, cut in half and gently squeeze some of the juice and seeds out, quarter and put in the pot or canning jars and proccess. You get a thicker wonderfull flavor! If I want Tomato juice I toss the container of tomatoes into the blender and season to taste. You won't regret trying this tomato!"
