Best corn for the Vancouver-Seattle area
Reviewed On:December 11, 2009
"My family has been growing corn in around Vancouver BC for more than 50 years, and this has always been our favourite corn to grow. In the past two years I've done comparisons with this corn and Stokes "Northern Super Sweet," and this corn is definitely the winner. Although "Northern Super Sweet" is a SUPERB corn with a high sugar content and a 62 day maturity (which is why we chose to give it a trial), I personally prefer the taste of "Golden Jubilee." The taste is more robust, and thus makes for a better raw corn to pig-out on in the field for lunch. Don't let the promise of more sugar in other varieties mislead you!"

Most Vigorous of the (SU)
Reviewed On:November 24, 2008
"I have grown this corn under nearly ideal conditions in NC and I must say that it is one of the healthiest, most vigorous varieties I have ever grown. It has tall 9 foot stalks with at least two and often three large well filled out ears. My only complaint is that it is not as sweet as the SE and Sh2 varieties, and therefore not as tasty. However, taste is in the mouth of the beholder, and if you like that "real corn taste" then this is the one for you. This variety is the closest to "field corn" in both vigor and taste, in my opinion, and it certainly produces bumper crops."
